rocco.me Is Live - Here's What It Actually Does
I've been building websites and apps for over a decade. For clients, for startups, for corporations. Finally got around to building one for myself.
No dramatic launch story. No "18 months in the making" tale. Just a straightforward site that does exactly what it needs to do.
What's On rocco.me
Three things:
- Who I am - Software engineer, multiple years in the game
- What I do - Blockchain integrations, AI agents, code refactoring
- How to work with me - €75/hour consulting, mentoring programs
That's it. No animated hero sections with buzzwords flying across the screen. No "revolutionizing the paradigm of digital transformation.".
Why Now?
Honestly? LinkedIn isn't enough anymore.
When you're consulting, mentoring developers, and running projects like Eveo, people want to see more than a profile page. They want to know:
- Can this person actually build things?
- What's their track record?
- Do they write like a human or a marketing bot?
A personal site answers all of that in one place.
The Tech Stack
Because some of you will ask:
- Framework: React Router v7 with no SSR
- Styling: Tailwind CSS
- Hosting: Cloudflare Pages
- Content: MDX for blog posts
Nothing fancy. Cloudflare's free tier handles everything I need. When you're bootstrapping multiple projects, keeping infrastructure costs at zero matters.
What You'll Find There
Services
I help companies integrate blockchain into their existing systems. Not "blockchain for everything" - that's stupid. Blockchain where it actually solves problems.
I also refactor messy codebases. You know the ones - the "vibe code" that someone built in a weekend and now serves 50,000 users. I fix those.
Mentoring
I teach developers who are either:
- Juniors trying to level up
- Career changers breaking into tech
- Web2 devs transitioning to Web3
Three of my last five mentees landed frontend jobs. That's the track record.
Writing
The site hosts my blog content. Same stuff you'd find on my Substacks, but in one place. Web3, AI, scam prevention, and the occasional rant about bad code practices.
What's NOT On The Site
- No testimonials carousel (they're all fake anyway)
- No "as seen in" logos (nobody cares)
- No chatbot asking if you need help every 3 seconds
- No newsletter popup blocking the entire screen
Just content. Just information. Just a way to contact me.
The Bigger Picture
rocco.me is part of a larger strategy:
- Eveo (geteveo.com) - The event marketplace I'm building
- The Web3 Ninja - My collective of developers
- CyberGrandpa - Cybersecurity education project
- Four Substacks - Web3/AI, building in public, LinkedIn tips, Cloudflare guides
The personal site ties it all together. One place to find everything.
